Caipi Counter is operated by Marcelo de Barros Taube. These Terms govern your use of the app. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account.
A diary, at your pace
Caipi Counter lets adults record beverages and self-reported moods, create private events and share activity with approved participants. Optional games suggest a beverage; they do not require you to consume it. You can always skip, choose an alcohol-free option or stop.
Counts are diary entries, not standard alcohol units, a blood-alcohol estimate, medical advice, a sobriety assessment, or permission to drive. Water, coffee and a change of mood do not establish that you are sober. Never use the app to decide whether it is safe to drive or operate machinery.
Who can use Caipi
You must be at least 18 to create an account. You must also meet the legal drinking age and comply with the rules where you are before consuming alcohol. You remain responsible for your choices. Do not use the app to pressure someone, promote dangerous drinking, run drinking-speed or volume challenges, or reward excessive consumption.
Your account
Provide accurate account information and keep your password private. Your nickname appears in shared events. Email addresses are currently not verified, and email password recovery is not yet available. An email address is not evidence of ownership of an existing participant or their history. Do not impersonate others. Contact us through the privacy request form if your information has been used without permission.
Events and invitations
Share invitations only with intended guests. Links may be forwarded; hosts should check each join request before approving it or linking it to an existing participant. Hosts can revoke invitations and remove members. Revoking a link stops future requests and closes pending requests from that link; it does not remove already-approved members. Removal blocks future access and synchronization but cannot erase copies someone already saved.
Only record another person with their permission. Event members can see the event’s shared participants, drink logs, moods and any location the host adds. Hosts can manage event details and correct participant entries. You must not publish or misuse someone else’s activity.
Availability and records
The app may be unavailable or change. Offline entries may remain pending until access and connectivity permit synchronization. Reports depend on what people entered and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Keep your own copy of any important records. We may restrict access for abuse, unlawful activity or security reasons, subject to applicable law.
Responsibility and your rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for your decisions to consume alcohol or for inaccurate information entered by users. This does not exclude responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights, or create a waiver of such rights. Nothing in these Terms guarantees that a claim cannot be brought.
Changes and contact
Material changes will be dated and, where required, presented for renewed acceptance. For data access, correction, deletion or privacy concerns, use the privacy request form. Other app issues can be described there too.
