THE DRINK DIARY
A drink counter for the moments you want to remember
Caipi Counter is a mobile-first drink diary for shared occasions. Create an event, choose a participant and record a drink. Your entries build a history you can revisit, from the first holiday coffee to the last celebratory toast.
Your shared event diary.Understand what the number means
The main Drinks screen counts alcoholic drink entries. One recorded beer, cocktail or glass of wine adds one entry. The number does not account for serving size, strength or the amount of alcohol in a glass. It is not a count of standard alcohol units or an estimate of impairment.
Alcohol-free drinks have a place in the same diary. Water, coffee, tea, mocktails and other non-alcoholic choices appear in activity and reports without increasing the main alcoholic counter. Some report totals include all beverages, so check the label when comparing views.
Make your first entry
Use an event for a holiday, dinner, birthday or another occasion. A name, date range and time zone give the diary context. An optional place helps distinguish it from the next event.
- Create your account and event while connected to the internet.
- Select the participant before opening Add a Drink. Hosts can record for event participants; approved members record for themselves.
- Choose an illustrated drink. The menus include cocktails, beer and cider, wine and bubbles, spirits and shots, and alcohol-free drinks.
- For a drink outside the catalog, use the custom option and select its alcoholic or non-alcoholic category accurately.
Keep corrections small
If you tap the wrong drink, use Undo. If the drink is correct but its time is wrong, open the small pencil beside its timestamp in Recent Activity. See all lets you reach older entries. Changing a timestamp moves the existing entry in the history without adding another drink.
Dates and times use the event’s time zone. This matters when a trip crosses time zones or you add a forgotten entry after returning home. Hosts can correct current participants’ drinks; members can correct their own. An archived event must be reopened before editing.
Look beyond the total
Reports let you explore drinks by participant, day and category. The alcoholic timeline shows how recorded entries accumulated during the occasion. A recap brings the event together when it finishes.
The useful habit is a brief, accurate entry when you want to remember a drink. There is no target to reach. A coffee-only afternoon or an event with a single toast can be just as worth keeping.

A few common questions
What is Caipi Counter?
Caipi Counter is a mobile-first shared drink diary for holidays and events. It records alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks by participant, with offline entries, reports, optional games and event recaps.
Does Caipi Counter only track caipirinhas?
No. Caipirinha is one choice in a catalog that also includes cocktails, beer, cider, wine, sparkling wine, spirits, shots and non-alcoholic drinks. You can also name a custom drink.
Can I count water and coffee without adding to the alcohol total?
Yes. Recognized non-alcoholic entries stay in your diary and reports while the main alcoholic counter remains unchanged.
Is one recorded drink a standard alcohol unit?
No. Each entry records a drink, without measuring serving size or strength. Caipi Counter does not calculate blood alcohol or determine whether someone can drive.
